As a Risk & Controls Manager at Landal you are accountable for the design, ownership and ongoingeffectiveness of enterprise risk management, compliance and internal controls framework, ensuring alignmentwith the organization’s strategy, risk appetite and regulatory obligations.We have built the initial foundation of our Internal Controls Program, including flowcharts, Risk & ControlMatrices, and remediation plans for key Tier A processes. Now, we are entering the next phase. A large part ofthe framework still needs to be designed, implemented, tested, and embedded across the organization. Whilebuilding the initial foundation, structural gaps in ownership, tooling, and governance were exposed that nowneed a dedicated leader to resolve. As our new Risk & Controls Manager, you take ownership of completing andmaturing this framework, stabilising governance structures, and shaping a sustainable three-lines‑of‑defencemodel that supports both day‑to‑day operations and Landal’s long‑term strategic ambitions.

You tasks and responsibilities as a Risk & Controls Manager include:
Strengthen & Complete the Internal Controls Framework
• Finalise design and documentation for Tier A, B, and C processes.
• Expand current control coverage and ensure process flows and RCMs stay accurate and up to date.
• Lead the maturity roadmap from design to implementation, remediation, testing, and continuous improvement.
Implement, Test & Monitor Controls
• Lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of controls, ensuring alignment with global standards (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000) and regulatory requirements.
• Drive remediation and testing cycles (ToD/ToE) and ensure timely follow-up.
• Clarify ownership and accountability for control execution and review.
• Establish enterprise-level reporting mechanisms and dashboards to monitor, evaluate, and communicate the health of the control environment.
Build Governance & Three Lines of Defence
• Implement governance for internal controls, ERM, and internal audit.
• Support the setup of the Internal Audit function and annual planning.
• Further develop ERM into a structured, recurring process—clarifying risk owners, reporting lines, and integration with business planning.
• Work closely with the CFO, Shared Service Center leads, and functional directors to embed consistent risk and control responsibilities across the organization.
Advisory & Culture Building
• Advise the CFO, Board, and Executive Team on risk, control effectiveness, and emerging issues.
• Independently challenge management decisions, escalate material risk exposures and recommend mitigation actions where risk exceeds approved risk appetite.
• Re‑energize the program by supporting and guiding process owners.
• Drive training, communication, and awareness across Zwolle, Amsterdam, and park operations.
Wie je bent
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in internal controls, risk management, audit, or compliance.
- Strong background in designing or maturing control frameworks in complex environments.
- Comfortable operating under audit scrutiny and governance expectations.
- Skilled stakeholder manager who can influence at all levels.
- Hands‑on, pragmatic, and structured, with a strategic mindset.
- Experience with GRC tooling and data-driven approaches is a plus.
- Able to bring clarity in a moving environment, balancing firmness with collaboration, and confident in driving change across teams that are still developing their control and risk capabilities.

* A full-time employment contract at Landal has a 38-hour working week, which is equivalent to a 5-day working week. If you have a part-time employment contract, your salary and vacation days are calculated pro rata.
